Monika Milivojevic was born in Croatia, and currently lives in Stockholm. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts at The Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm. She has exhibited in several group exhibitions, mostly in Sweden. She has been rewarded with grants from Sven Erixsons minnesfond and the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts.

In her paintings, she explores the themes of desire, temptation, overconsumption, and the intimate relationships between people. Showing her personal experiences, in her intimate diary, she uses the dialogue of symbols and space to reveal her current state. The elements of her paintings are created with a rich and dense layer of paint. Very often, motifs are accented with light and dark zones.
