Martina Tonejc obtained a Master of Arts in art history and history at the University of Zagreb, Croatia and completed her doctoral studies (PhD) in art history at the University of Zadar, Croatia. She has worked for twenty years on movable heritage protection and received the professional title of Consultant conservator - Art historian. She has conducted research and published scientific papers about the history and theory of conservation. Her books include “Mijat Sabljar’s Travel Notes (1852-1854) Church Inventory “(2010), and “The Institutional Development of the Protection of Movable Heritage in Croatia from 1850 to 1990” (2022).

In recent years, she has published works on heritage futures, and has been developing and expanding the theory on the development of visual perception through the observation of art objects in finding ideas and solving problems in business environment.
